Thanksgiving

Two travelers, seeking respite from the searing heat of the midday sun, took shelter under a leafy tree. They soon felt cool and refreshed.

“What sort of tree is this? Does it produce edible fruits?” asked one of the men to the other.

“It’s a plane tree,” said his companion. “Don’t waste your time looking for fruits. It produces neither edible fruits nor good wood. It’s one of the most useless trees around.”

“How can you say that when you’re enjoying my shade at this very moment?” snapped the tree.

We might have raised this question several times in our lives in different circumstances; but the least do we remember the shades of love, care, fellowship, even a smile that made us happy in our lives. We owe differently to different people. Nevertheless we owe in everything to God. Let us be thankful to our God for the manifold ways in which He has guidedusthroughoutourlives.

Psalms 42:4; “These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go with the multitude, leading the procession to the house of God, with shouts of joy and thanksgiving among the festive throng”.

God creates everything and everybody for a purpose. Seek His guidance that we may nourish each other and thereby respect each and everyone of Gods creation.

Once again……. let us be reminded about Gods manifold blessings and mercies that keeps us moving. In Him do we Trust.
